Our Commitment to a Safe Space for Women

At HerBod, we are committed to providing a private, supportive and respectful women-only environment where members can exercise with confidence.

We understand that many women choose HerBod because they want a space free from intimidation, judgement, harassment and unwanted attention. Protecting that environment is central to who we are and how we operate.

Respectful Behaviour

Everyone at HerBod is expected to:

  • Treat others with kindness, dignity and respect
  • Respect personal space and individual boundaries
  • Avoid intimidating, aggressive, discriminatory or inappropriate behaviour
  • Refrain from unwanted comments about another person’s body, appearance or ability
  • Respect that every woman has different experiences, goals and reasons for attending
  • Follow all reasonable safety directions and facility rules

Bullying, harassment, discrimination, threatening behaviour, unwanted sexual conduct or deliberate actions that make another person feel unsafe will not be tolerated.

Privacy and Personal Boundaries

Members and visitors must respect the privacy of everyone within HerBod.

Photography, filming or recording another person without their permission is prohibited. Personal information or conversations shared within the gym must also be treated respectfully and confidentially.

A Supportive Training Environment

HerBod welcomes women aged 13 and over across all fitness levels, backgrounds and stages of life.

We are committed to creating an environment where women feel comfortable:

  • Learning new exercises
  • Asking questions
  • Training at their own pace
  • Requesting modifications or assistance
  • Discussing relevant health or exercise concerns privately
  • Building strength without comparison or judgement
Safety and Security

HerBod uses reasonable safety and security measures, including:

  • CCTV within and around the premises
  • Controlled facility access
  • Member access records
  • Health and pre-exercise screening
  • Equipment and facility rules
  • Additional conditions for Extended Access
  • Incident reporting and follow-up procedures

Members using HerBod outside Staffed Hours must follow all Extended Access safety requirements.

Raising a Concern

If something makes you feel uncomfortable or unsafe, or you witness behaviour that may affect another member’s safety, please contact HerBod as soon as possible.

Concerns will be treated seriously, sensitively and as confidentially as reasonably possible. HerBod may investigate reported conduct and take appropriate action, including issuing a warning, restricting access, suspending a membership or terminating membership where necessary.

No person will be treated unfairly for raising a genuine safety concern in good faith.

Our Ongoing Commitment

Creating a safe space requires the cooperation of everyone who enters HerBod.

We will continue to listen to members, review our practices and take reasonable steps to maintain a private, welcoming and respectful environment where women can focus on their health, strength and confidence.
